Obituary for Wilma PARKER

PARKER, Wilma A. was born on February 8th, 1948 in the city of Steele, Missouri to the great parents of Henry & Mamie Starks. She departed this life on February 5th, 2020. She was an outstanding mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and most of all she was definitely a loving grandmother (Nana). She was a devoted member of Revelation Missionary Baptist Church for over 30 years. She served as a faithful member of the Pastor's-Aid, choir, Trustee Board, kitchen committee, and decorating the church was her passion. She retired from Gold Circle and Value City retail store as Inventory Control Supervisor, with over 25 years of service. Wilma is preceded in death by her loving husband John A. Parker, Mother Mamie Starks, and 2 sisters, Patsy A. Guyton and Gloria J. Parkins. She leaves to cherish in her memory her loving father, Henry Starks Sr.; son Steven W. (Darlene) Parker of Dayton, OH; daughter Tina L. Parker of Dayton, OH; (4) sisters Jessie Mae (Fred) Parker of Jackson, MI, Frances Rucker of Steele, MO, Debbie (Jessie) Malone Kennet, MO, and Rose Berry of (Kennet, MO); (3) brothers Robert (Ellen) Starks of (Dayton, OH), Eddie (Frankie) Starks of (Blytheville AR), Henry Jr. (Hope) Starks of (Hayslet, TX); (5) grandchildren Darrion R. Lucas (who was the beat of her heart), Randall M. Lucas, Brian, Shardae and Marcus Bedinger & (5) great children, and a host of sister & brother’s in love, nieces, nephews, cousins, adopted children and grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m., FRIDAY, February 14, 2020 at REVELATION MBC, 1496 Swinger Dr., with Pastor John Jackson Sr., officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment: Dayton National Cemetery.
