Obituary for Ronald E. BLACK

Ronald “Ronnie” Eugene Black, age 74, of Dayton, Ohio, was born to parents Willie and Georgia Black in April 1946. He was a graduate of Roosevelt High School class of 1964. He attended Central State University and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business in 1974.

Ronnie was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, where he was a former choir member. He loved the lord, always talking about how blessed he was and that if he never saw another day it was okay because God had been so good to him. Ronnie was a faithful employee of General Motors, where he diligently worked for 31 years and retired in July 1999. Ronnie was a good athlete; he loved to play sports. He played basketball, tennis, bowled and loved to skate. He was an all-around sports person.
He loved people and people loved him. He never met a stranger. He would strike up conversation with anyone, acting as if he had known them for a long time. His friendly personality drew so many to him. He saw the good in everyone and he would always go out of his way to help others.
Ronnie had a very caring spirit. He was a devoted caregiver who sacrificed his time to nurse his family, friends and neighbors from sickness back to health. Ronnie was a wonderful cook. Whenever he cooked, everyone wanted to be around the table, especially when he cooked his hallmark spaghetti. He took pride in his cooking – making it just the way you liked it. He was a wonderful brother, uncle, cousin and a dedicated friend.

On Friday, August 28, 2020, Ronald Eugene Black transitioned from this life to be in the presence of the Lord.
