Obituary for Narvis CROWDER
Mrs. Narvis V. Crowder, lovingly known as “Nana”, was born April 27, 1939 in Carrollton, Georgia to Millerdge and Selia Mitchell. She departed this earthly life on Thursday, June 3, 2021.
She was a graduate of Carver County High School in Carrollton, Georgia and a Faithful member of Canaan Missionary Baptist Church and Christ Memorial Church.
Narvis loved fashion and beauty. She was a outstanding Beautician and Cosmetologist for over 40 years, the owner of LaNell’s Beauty Shop.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Millerdge and Selia Mitchell; a brother, Milledge Mitchell and former spouse, Mr. Norman Crowder. She leaves to cherish precious memories to her devoted and loving children, Sharon L. Crowder and Darryl T. Crowder, Sr. both of Dayton, Ohio. Her Grandsons, Marcus (Jasmine) Crowder, Sr. of Dayton, Ohio and Darryl T. Crowder, Jr. of McCordsville, Indiana; Great-Grandchildren, Marcus Crowder, Jr., Jenae Crowder and Jade Crowder, all of Dayton, Ohio. She also leaves behind a host of other relatives, family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm, Friday, June 11, 2021, at Thomas Funeral Home, 4520 Salem Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45416, with Rev. Timothy Newkirk officiating. Walk through visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Interment: Jefferson View Cemetery.
