Obituary for Marisha J. SMITH
Marish Jama Smith, 46, of Dayton Ohio passed away on Friday, October 14, 2022. Marisha was born on October 6, 1976 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of James & Susan Smith.
Marisha was a kind hearted and generous person who valued time with her family. She had a beautiful smile that could light up your soul and a heart of gold – willing to give the shirt off her back to someone in need.
Marisha loved family events, spending time with her cousins, and visiting the Big Cat Sanctuary. She enjoyed spending her weekend afternoons watching the San Francisco 49ers, North Carolina Tarheels, and the Michigan Wolverines. She was an EA Sports gamer and could spend hours sitting by the water watching ducks. She loved animals, especially her cat Mittens.
The relationship she had with her mother, Susan, was like no other, her mom was her best friend. Marisha was a wonderful little sister, an adoring aunt, and a caring daughter, niece, cousin, and friend. She met no strangers and was genuinely a good hearted person.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Wilbert Sr. and Eunice Anderson, Elizabeth Smith and James Smith Sr.,
Marisha is survived by her parents, James and Susan Smith; sister, Valerie Smith-Scott (Romona); nephews, Todd (Mayra) Bailey, TreVaughn Bailey: great nieces, Sofia Bailey, Nina Bailey, McKayla Ramone; her fur baby, Mittens, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Marisha will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, October 28, 2022, at Mt Calvary M B C, 3375 Siebenthaler Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45406, with Pastor Samuel N. Winston, Jr. officiating.
