Obituary for Lorraine WRIGHT

WRIGHT, Lorraine Richardson was born August 5, 1930 and departed this life on May 31, 2020 at the beautiful age of 89. A native Daytonian, she attended Dunbar High School. During her life, she was employed in various organization such as the University of Dayton, Good Samaritan Hospital and Trotwood Madison Schools in food service. Until her health declined, Lorraine was an active member of Deborah Chapter #19 Order of the Eastern Star and the Daughter of Isis #65. An active member of the First Baptist Church of Ridgewood Heights she was a member of the Georgia Miller Matrons for many years, and the Missionary and Mothers Board. Lorraine always put her family first and was well loved. She raised many children in addition to her own. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Carrie Delphos Richardson. She is also preceded in death by former husband and father of her children, Lee M. Wright, Jr. One of seven children she is preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Taylor, Velma Anderson, Dorothy Richardson, and brothers Earl and Robert Richardson and one son Anthony L. Wright. She leaves to mourn: one brother James (Jacqui) Richardson; three daughters, Shirley Ann (Nathaniel) Johnson, Sr., Carolyn E. Wright, and Roxanne D. Moon; Grandchildren: Monique (Shannon) Walker, Tiffney Lorraine Moon, Leigh Ann Obie, Nathaneal Johnson Jr., Quincy (Vaniqua) Johnson, Sr. Kayla Ross. Great grandchildren Antwon McIntosh, Destyni Fritz, Malik Simon, Roxanne Simon, Ethan Applin, Quincy Johnson, Jr., Quinton Johnson, Nathaneal Johnson III, Danelle Johnson, Raylynn White; Great, great grandchildren Elijah and Autumn Simon, Mark Anthony Ramey III, Mark Anthony Anderson; Special great niece Stephanie Richardson; special nephew Jason Richardson and adopted daughter Renee Evans; Special cousins, Pat Dunson. Homegoing Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 8, 2020 at First Baptist Church of Ridgewood Heights, 116 Hanover Ave. Dayton 45417, Rodney L. Cranford, Sr. Pastor. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment West Memory Garden.
