Obituary for Larry BURDEN

Larry Nyle Burden, age 80 of Dayton, OH was born June 3, 1942, in Lima, OH to the late Virgil Loften Burden and Ruby Ella Snow. He received a high school diploma from Lima Sr. High and a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Urbana University. Larry enlisted in the U. S. Army as a Communication Specialist and served one year in Germany and his last year at Fort Hood, Texas before being honorably discharged. He was employed at Delphi division of General Motors and retired as a Payroll Accountant after 25 plus years of dedicated service. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and attended Christ Community Bible Church throughout the years. Larry was a loving, caring, and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He loved family and was a great provider and protector. His life was centered on his grandchildren and his love for his wife was unconditional. He enjoyed spending time with family, watching football on television, and taking care of his lawn.

On Thursday, December 15, 2022, Larry Nyle Burden transitioned from this life to be in the presence of the Lord. He was also preceded in death by: his brother, Allen C. Burden. Larry leaves to cherish fond memories and celebrate his life: His loving wife of 58 years, Elizabeth Marie Burden; (1) daughter, Nakita N. Burden; (1) son, Christopher N. Burden; (4) grandchildren, Aspen S. and Avery C. Burden, Victoria N. and Mya M. Keith; (1) sister, Constance V. Meadows; (2) brothers, Donald W. and Dennis A. (Hattie) Burden; aunt, Shirley Burden; sister- in-law, Annie D. Burden; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives, and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, December 22, 2022, at Christ Community Bible Church, 3526 Detroit Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45416, with Dr. Ron Ballard officiating. Walk through visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Interment: Dayton National Cemetery.
