WILLIAMS, Japheth, age 81 was born October 16, 1938 in Bessmer, AL to the late John and Louisiana Williams. He was educated in his native land and graduated from Bessmer High School. Japheth worked at Suckers Packing Company 10 plus years and retired from Durion after many years of service. Japheth was a no nonsense individual, who was straight forward, funny, strong willed and reserved. He was a loving person with a good heart. He loved dearly all who loved him. He took great pride in how he looked and carried himself. He enjoyed dressing, looking good and going out. He also enjoyed owning and maintaining cars, watching baseball and eating good food. On Monday March 2, 2020, Japheth Williams transitioned from this life to be in the presence of the Lord. He was also preceded in death by; (1) brother, Maxie Powell; (2) sisters, Mary Woods and Lizzie Foster and (1) son, Jeffrey Williams. Japheth leaves to cherish fond memories and celebrate his life; his children, Angela E. and Cassandra Williams and other children; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. . Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., MONDAY, March 9, 2020 at THOMAS FUNERAL HOME, 4520 Salem Ave. Elder George Foster and Minister Sherman Foster, Presiding.
