Obituary for Ida Delores WILLIAMS (Conner)

Mrs. Ida Delores (Conner) Williams was born on February 10, 1930 in Seale, Alabama to the late Willie A. and Marie Conner. After losing her mother in 1936, she was fortunate enough to live on a 200 acre farm with her grandmother, the late, Annie Toney. It was during this time, that Ida developed a love and passion for gardening. In 1958, Ida was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Henry J. Williams. To this union, eight children were born. Ida accepted Christ at an early age. Her remarkable faith in God, was clearly exhibited by her actions. For example, she read the bible daily, she prayed without ceasing and she sung old spiritual hymns frequently. The fruit of the Spirit was evident by her lifestyle and how she treated everyone she knew and met. Moreover, Ida's character truly defined who she was--a gem of humanity: caring, humble, funny, patient, gentle, intelligent, trusting, generous and kind. She was the epitome of a virtuous woman. Yes, she was an Ethiopian and Indian woman that truly rocked! Ida D. Williams departed this life on January 4, 2020.
