Emma Louise (Cooper) Nelson, age 95, was born in Clay City, Kentucky to Courtney and Della Cooper. She took her final peaceful rest and went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 20, 2020, at Friendship Village Nursing Facility.
She was a faithful and dedicated member of Bethesda Temple Apostolic Church for 45 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence William Nelson; son, Darrell Wayne Nelson; 5 sisters, 4 brothers Left to cherish precious memories: Daughters, Catherine (James) Brooks, Margaret (Charles) Brooks, Anita C. Nelson, Jacqueline (Eddie) Durant; Grandchildren, Keith (Karen) Odister, Vicki (James) Clark, Terence (Jennifer) Brooks, Kendall Brooks, Derek (Krystal) Brooks, Katrina (Reggie) Pope, Karmelita (Stevie) Cromer, and Christopher Durant; 20 Great grandchildren; Sisters, Josephine Spears and Dorothy Donaphin; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Services will be held Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 10:00 a.m., viewing at 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at Bethesda Temple Church, 3701 Salem Avenue., Dr. Craig S. High, Eulogist. Masks are required and social distancing will be observed. Interment: West Memory Cemetery.
