Obituary for Emma HOLLEY (Ober)

Holley, Emma Ober, age 74, of Dayton, born February 10, 1949 and transitioned on February 23, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer. Her final days were spent surrounded by loving family and friends that Gammy had touched in some way throughout her life. Born to the late Robert and Jannie Ober. She was an employee of General Motors and a graduate of Dunbar High School. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend to many. She was a loyal member of the Westwood congregation, Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Preceded in death by her sisters, Donna Jean Ober (Tony) Luna, Jannie (Lee) Gillis; brothers, Robert (Ann) Ober Jr., Michael (Billie Sue) Ober; granddaughter, Leaisha Holley. She leaves to cherish memories of her. Her loving and devoted children: daughter, Suzzane (Mark) Young; sons, James E. (Saundra) Holley Sr., Richard (Jennifer) Holley Sr. and Michael Holley; sisters, Virginia (Norman) Tanner, Henrietta (Terrance) Wiley, Annette Henderson; Grandchildren, Sean Holley, Diamond Simpkins, Brianna Jackson, James E. Holley III, Michael Crenshaw, Tamia Holley, MIecho Holley, Richard Holley Jr., Jhye Holley, Raven Holley, Stephen Baker Jr., Cha’Miya Holley, Mark Jr, Queznay and Tenisha Young; Great grandchildren, Avae’ya Harrison, Lance Holley, D’Ante Oglesby; and her special and devoted friend Denise Holley. Emma will also leave behind a host of her favorite nieces and nephews better known to all as Aunt Emmy. You will be truly missed by all your family and friends as well as your spiritual family.
