Obituary for DuJuan JOHNSON-DENNIS

Dujuan Eugene Johnson-Dennis was born in Dayton, Ohio on March 8th, 1982 to Linda Johnson and Billy Hunt. A few years later, his family moved to Minneapolis, MN where he spent his early childhood. Around the age of 10, they moved again to Indianapolis, IN where his young life would change forever. Just months after the move, he and his siblings were removed from their biological parents’ home and later put into foster care. This is when he met SHARONA. Sharona was Heaven sent. She took them all into her home and showed them a life filled with love, family, and how to work hard to make your life the best it could be. From this foundation, he was able to thrive as an adult.

Dujuan attended Arlington High School where he was a dedicated athlete. He excelled in sports like wrestling, football and basketball. He was also apart of a dancing group called Soakin’ Wet. They performed at many events. During his junior year in high school, he met Misty, who he’d eventually marry and start his own family. After high school, he worked as a truck driver to support his family and later became a foster parent to two little boys. At his passing, he was co-owner of a trucking company, BE Hunt Express, Inc. with big plans for expansion.

Dujuan was a loving and charismatic friend and family member who we could all turn to for a laugh. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends and was often times the life of the party. He loved lots of the simple things that brought people together like watching football, cooking with his family, or even just listening to music. He made sure to share his love for God and spread positivity whenever it was needed. He often spoke on the importance of family and it showed not only through his words, but in his time and dedication spent during family vacations, barbecues, and unexpected visits. His remarkable ability to lighten our moods in the darkest times will be unforgettable.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Thomas Funeral Home, 4520 Salem Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45416, with Rev. Robert Jackson officiating. Walk through visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Interment: Washington Park North Cemetery.
