DaVonna Denise Battles, age 27, of Dayton, Ohio, made her worldly transition on Tuesday, January 5, 2021. Davonna was born to Shameka Crawford and David Battles on January 11, 1994. DaVonna enjoyed being a self-taught nail tech and her ever changing hair styles. She was known to exuded positivity and thoughtfulness. DaVonna’s love of serving others lead her to be a dedicated Crew member of a multi-million-dollar Restuarant Corporation. DaVonna (Toot Toot) was funny, full of love, life and had a light that followed her into any room she entered. She was proceeded in death by Grandmother Toya Russell and her devoted Grandfather Lonzell Houston Jr. DaVonna leaves to cherish her angelic spirit, her loving Mother, Shameka (Gregory) Crawford, Father, David Jr. (Latasha) Battles. Grandmother, Cheryl Houston, Grandfather David Battles Sr. Sisters, Shatonya Turner, Zyla Crawford, DaVia, Gabrielle, and Desiree Battles; Brothers, James Newberry, Gregory and Allen Crawford, and David Battles III. Special Aunts Deonna (Andre) Battles and Tanika (David) Martin. Special Uncles Raymond Smith and Lonzell Houston III. Nieces Robreon Hilt and JaQuel Prude, and Special Love Kenneth Sledge. She also leaves to mourn a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, January 16, 2021, at Thomas Funeral Home, 4520 Salem Ave., Trotwood, Ohio 45416. Walk through visitation will be held one hour prior to service.
