Obituary for Clarence CAESAR

CAESAR JR., Clarence Joseph (Joe/Joey) was born on August 5, 1952 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Clarence Joseph Caesar, Sr. (C.J.) and Annie Belle Holder Caesar. On Monday, December 16, 2019, at 5:45 p.m., Joe lost a valiant and brave battle against cancer. Joe received his early education from Highview Elementary, a Dayton Public K-8 school. It was also during Joe’s last year at Highview that he was baptized and confirmed at St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church. He went on to graduate from Chaminade High School in 1970, and earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Fordham University in New York City and Xavier University in Cincinnati respectively. Joe taught in the Cincinnati Public School system (School for Creative and Performing Arts) from where he retired after 25 years if service. Joe was known for his generous, kind and loyal heart throughout his life. With the hope of helping to find a cure for cancer, Joe’s final act of kindness and generosity was to make an organ donation to further Cancer Research. He leaves to mourn his devoted Mother, Mrs. Annie B. Caesar, devoted sister and brother-in-law, Valerie A. Caesar Jackson (Frank) of Dayton, Ohio; devoted niece and nephew, Chelsea A. Jackson Roberts (Shane) of Atlanta GA; very special dedicated friends Zach Cox and Barbara Jenkins of Cincinnati, Ohio, Lorre, Joe’s sweet and loyal Boston Terrier and a host of loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., FRIDAY, December 27, 2019 at THOMAS FUNERAL HOME, 4520 Salem Ave., with Father Benjamin Speare-Hardy II, officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment: West Memory Gardens.
