Mrs. Clara B. Smith, age 82, was born March 11, 1939 in Aragon, Georgia to Roy and Ruby Green. Clara was a graduate of Roosevelt High School. She was a retired employee of St. Elizabeth Hospital for over 40 years. Clara was a faithful member of Phillips Temple Church for over 60 years, until her health failed. She was a member of the Voices of The Temple Choir and served with the Noah’s Ark Children’s Ministry. Clara loved The Lord and her family. She was a devoted Wife, Daughter, Mother, Sister, Aunt, Granny, Great-Granny, and friend.

Clara departed this life to be with the Lord on Monday, March 15, 2021 at Carriage Inn of Dayton. Clara was preceded in death by her Father, Roy Green, Mother and Best Friend, Ruby Green, sister, Evelyn Walker, and brothers, Ulysses Green and Reuben Green. She leaves to cherish her memory, a devoted husband of 47 years, Frazier Smith, devoted granddaughters, Nakia Clark and Erica Clark, sisters, Patricia Whrighter, Joyce Whelchel, Kay Kirkland, and Linette (Abdurrahim) Abdullah, special sister, Margaret Hughes, bonus daughter, Pamela (Roderick Sr.) Harris, bonus grandson, Roderick Harris Jr., loving great grandchildren, Dorian Pierce Jr., and Paris Coogler, step-children, Frazier Pitts, Sheila Smith, and Karen Smith, a host of loving grandchildren, in-laws, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, March 22, 2021, at Phillip Temple CME Church, 3620 Shiloh Springs Road Trotwood, Ohio 45426, with Rev. James Washington officiating. Walk through visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Interment: West Memory Gardens Cemetery.
