Obituary for Anthony Leroy GREEN

Anthony Leroy Green was born January 5, 1966 in Brooklyn, NY. He departed his life unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 29, 2020. At an early age he professed his faith in Jesus Christ. Anthony genuinely loved the Lord. His favorite song was “Something about the Name Jesus.” He was a member of New Destiny Ministries, Bishop Alfred Ringer, Pastor. Anthony loved nature, he enjoyed fishing, taking walks and camping with his children. He grew up having indoor animals such as turtles, lizards, iguanas and snakes. Most of all he loved to be Pawpaw to his grandchildren who he loved dearly. Anthony also love church you knew he was there because he would yell out “Thank you Jesus” and do his church dance.
Anthony is preceded in death by his mother, Nioke E. Dixon, stepfather, Woodrow Wilson Dixon; stepbrother Torrance Smith; stepmother Vicky Green and newborn daughter Nicole Green. He leaves to cherish is memory of his wife, Deshonna Green, father, Fletcher L. Green Sr, (4) children Lakeisha Green; Anthony Green Jr.; Cheryl Green; Cheyanne Jackson. (6) grandchildren Ja’marion; K’urron; Key’Mariee; Leah; Lanaya and Alaiyah. (4) sisters, Niosha Scroggins (John); Nathana Dixon; Victoria Green; Virginia Green (2) brothers Fletcher L. Green Jr (Ericka); Emmanuel Green. Special Aunt, Diane Dockery. Devoted longtime friend, Jamie Simon, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
