Obituary for Anthony Marice CROWDER

CROWDER, Anthony Maurice, age 58, was born August 31, 1961 in Dayton, Ohio to the late W. Ruth Crowder. He was affectionately known by family and friends as “Punchie” and was educated in the Dayton Public School system. Punchie loved the Lord and faithfully attended various churches throughout the City during his life time. Punchie was a loving and devoted father, brother, uncle and friend. He was strong willed and determined. He encountered much trouble in his life but always bounced back to champion another battle. Punchie was a people person who never met a stranger. He enjoyed spending time with family, attending church services, walking, listening to music, dancing, swimming, riding a bicycle, playing cards, roller skating and playing cards. On Saturday, April 18, 2020 Anthony Maurice Crowder “Punchie” transitioned from this life to be in the presence of the Lord. He was also preceded in death by: brother, David Crowder; grandparents, Cara and Mattie Maston; (3) uncles, Elder Maston, Sr., Robert Maston, Sr. and Levi Maston; aunt, Shirley Blackburn Warren. Punchie leaves to cherish fond memories and celebrate his life; (2) loving and devoted daughters, Angel Crowder and Tony Pitts; (6) endeared grandchildren, Au*Drea Cammon, Maleah Crowder, Empreff Odem, KaeShantel Redd, Kayonte and Kachele Price; (2) loving sisters, Andrea (Buddy) and Daphne Crowder; uncle, William Maston, Sr.; former wife, Theresa Walker; devoted friend, Bae Bae; nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, great, great-nephews, a host of cousins other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., SATURDAY, May 2, 2020 at THOMAS FUNERAL HOME, 4520 Salem Ave. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment: Jeffersonview Cemetery.
