ROSS, Annie Ruth, age 90 of Dayton, Ohio departed this life Friday, January 15, 2021. She was born July 22, 1930 in Chattanooga, TN to the late George Albert Gooden and Ruby Adell Gooden. She was a member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church for more than 50 years and served as a piano player in the church 40 plus years. She was also preceded in death by: her husband, Paul Ross, Sr.; daughter, Anna Revere; (4) brothers, Doc, Varnell and Lovell Gooden and George Robinson; (1) sister, May Ruby Ballard. Survived by: (5) daughters, Gloria (Bruce) Moxley, and Deborah (Melvin) Vinson of Dayton, Joann Rogers and Geraldine (Mark) Dodley of Columbus, Pauline Lofton of Cincinnati; (3) sons, Paul (FeAngela) Ross, Jr. of Atlanta, GA, Lonnie (Anita) Ross of Dayton and Michael (Sharon) Ross of Rochester, NY; special niece/daughter, Linda Coleman; (25) grandchildren, (66) great grandchildren and (45) great, great grandchildren; sister, Elder Mary Scott and brother, Samuel (Gloria) Gooden both of Chattanooga, TN; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, 301 Mia Ave., Dayton, Ohio with Pastor Herman L. Walker officiating. Interment: W. Memory Gardens.
